Plot Summary: Makoto Ito rides the train to and from school every day. However, at the beginning of his second term, he falls in love with a beautiful girl that also rides the train. Unfortunately, she barely knows of his existence. Her name is Kotonoha Katsura, and though they attend the same school, they are not in the same class. In an attempt to catch her eye, Makoto enlists the aid of a close female friend of his: Sekai Saionji. She helps him, despite the fact that she–unbeknownst to Makoto–is in love with him. Thus the three are bound in a love triangle of life changing proportions.

i like it its really realistic about the way guys usually are, and the way women hide emotions… kinda hit home
omfg… yeah… that was an interesting anime… yeah… that teaches you a lesson… kinda scares the hell out of me… holy /f/n shyte- watch it all, or else it will have been a waste, seriously it should be classified under slice of life…. wow… insane… makes me think about ending an odd streak, tho it wasnt so crazy as this one… crazy, yeah
If u looking for one of those light romantic stories than is exactly NOT what your looking for. This romance story is serious, and I don’t know if the ending is cruel or happy or sad. But that doesn’t mean its a bad show!

man. this anime really freaked me out at the end. i mean its based off a hentai game lol so if u go on youtube theres actually 3 diff endings. one in which katsura suicides, the other katsura chops off sekais head and another one which is the same to this anime. but yeah kinda freaky the ending…. mokoto deserve to die…. after all he did to katsura.
I wouldn’t say he “deserved to die” but he did hurt katsura pretty badly. He’s also the worst womanizer in any anime love triangle I’ve ever seen.

… I watched this a while ago, but I just found it on this site and I had to make a post. This is one of the best animes I have ever scene. I do not even know what to say about it. I NEVER NEVER NEVER say the ending coming! I keep a list of all the animes I have watched (The list is long) and I put them in categories of: Amazing, Great, good, ok, bad, and so bad I never finished, School Days is in Great. I do not normally recommend animes to my friends because they do not like them, but I made an exception with this. I recommend it to every one I can.
Ughh, i liked the beginning and thought this anime was all luvey-dubeyish. The farther you’re in the anime, the harder it is to watch.The ending is just so sad. *sighs* This anime will be stucked in my mind for a while…
The anime i give 10/10 it was so realistic to truth life i do feel srry for dude though but sekai got what she deserved if she liked him from the beginning why set him up with another girl that dumb.
Plus she didn’t have to kill him so what if your crazy lie that you was pregnant didn’t work geez bitch move on don’t have to kill him,

all i can say is wow… i was looking for a nice anime to watch to kill some time and before i knew it i was hooked like no other, the story line and the was the plot was played out so well was amazying… i loved this anime
this anime is extremely good 9/10.. but it also made me sick round half way.. i do recommend it but be sure to have a strong stomach in more ways then one ;)

Anime wasn’t that bad, the ending made me black out for a moment. You really would have strong stomach for some of this like some others said above. I learned an important lesson from this and that is don’t screw around otherwise you’ll get decapitated by a psycho bitch. Anyway thanks LG for adding this…….unique anime.

When you first start watching you will figure it is a pretty typical romance/drama/school life/ anime… Maybe a little more mature than most but still… Then towards the end it all goes down hill. You will have a “I can’t believe that just happened” moment and then prolly be too disturbed to do anything productive for the rest of your day… It’s that twisted, mostly cause you may know people who are like this with women in real life.
Oh and to re-post what a few of the others said, because it cant be said enough, This anime will stick with you for some time and I always recommend it to everyone, even if they watch anime or not.

The ending was foretold a few episode’s earlier when you seen katsura standing beside a rack of knives. You just get the feeling “Someones going to die” The ending was really, REALLY twisted.

After about halfway through this anime, I thought that it could have no happy ending. The ending was fitting and well deserved.
Nice input on life; quite a deep message. Showed an extreme life lesson that should straighten out some of the imbeciles. I seriously doubt that much girls can be so freaking stupid and psychopathic, but you can still pull the life lesson from this if you dilute the situation a bit; minus the psychopathic killing, but you can seriously hurt someone if you do stuff like that.
The characters are just plain idiotic. Makoto, even from the beginning he was so freaking stupid. Dating a girl on a peverted whim, then on their first date I couldn’t even believe the crap he was doing; you can clearly tell she enjoyed no part in any of it. Even on their second date; he doesn’t even have the patience to hear her opinion, and drags her to the choice he thinks is most convenient. Then dragging out a relationship and cheating; just break up and move on, but some blame clearly goes to some of the other dumbasses. Also when he finds out someone is pregnant, he abandons her and tries to hop from whore to whore, and breaks his girlfriends heart right infront of her.
Shout-out to the two idiotic female protagonists. First; Katsura, if someone watches you every single day; that doesn’t make them interesting… it means they’re stalkers. Also, there’s plenty of fish in the ocean; you don’t need that loser(let alone his decapitated head). Second; Saionji, if you like the guy just confront him straight up, you don’t come up with your elaborate plan to make yourself seem like a nice matchmaker, then a slut, and then his lover. She’s basically the origin of the problem, but if you add in Makoto’s pathetic performance you get the dramatic, psychopathic storyline.
The storyline’s progression was good following the life lesson, but still repulsive; Makokto’s actions are just pathetic and the girl’s choices are unbelievable. The very, very beginning was a nice mushy, romance, but then their first date marked the beginning of Makoto’s idiocy. As for the ending, all the people saying it’s “cruel” I think you’re too young to watch this; despite the fact there were a few clear indication of intercourse. The ending was perfect, perfect ending to a cheating dumbass, a nice confrontation between psychopaths to end the anime. Although, the cuddling of the disembodied head was a bit uncalled for.

The first four eps are interesting, then 5-8 are hard to get thru without wanting to punch the dude in the face, then 9-12 wrap it up “nicely”. I say nicely as in it is well finished, not as in all rainbows and sunshine nicely.
