Saiyuki Reload is basically the continuation of Gensomaden Saiyuki (Saiyuki). Their journey to the west continues and all. Their attire changed a little though (even Sanzo’s — LOL boots).
For me the quality of the animation isn’t as good as the first one and I think their old clothes were better. but oh well.
I watched the first season in English and really enjoyed it, but since they changed the voices- I think I will go back to the roots and watch it the way it was meant to be- Japanese (with English subs)! I do have to say that the first one’s art and animation is superior to this one- but it’s the story that counts, right?
