He started a series of murders against humanity by making his loyal youkai drain the body fluids from humans. Otoha ,a young man who just woke from a coma, is chosen to be the new Karas. Him and his trainer, Yurine, start the fight against the evil forces of darkness that are triyng to conquer the city of Shijuku.

God, this anime is confusing. I didn’t understand what was going on up until the 3rd episode when I finally decided to figure out what the **** was going on by reading the Wikipedia article. I’m so glad I watched it though. I’ve yet to see an anime with more beautiful art and animation. The scene with Yurine and the fish ornaments is my favorite piece of animation. (Anyone else notice what her name looks and sounds like? Urine? Haha I’m so immature. -_-) Once you understand the plot, (seriously, go read wiki before watching this) the anime becomes much more enjoyable and infinitely impressive.
