Plot Summary: Renton Thurston is a 14-year-old boy who lived with his mechanic grandfather in a backwater town. Every day he dreamed of being with the mercenary “Light Finding Operation (LFO)” aircraft pilot group “Gekkostate” and riding “Trapar” particle waves– a sport called “reffing”– with their charismatic leader Holland, especially when faced with his father’s acclaimed past or his grandfather’s desire to protect him. When a young girl named Eureka riding the original LFO, the “Nirvash typeZERO”, asks his grandfather for a tune-up, she inadvertently brings the attention of the military to the garage; as a result, the garage is destroyed and Renton is forced to deliver a new type of interface– the “Amita Drive”– to the Nirvash. After a heated fight in which the Nirvash destroys the military LFOs by unleashing an immense amount of power, Renton is invited into Gekkostate. However, he quickly realizes that behind the facade of a traveling group of mercenaries is a very bitter reality.

Amazing anime, starts off ok but around episode 20 it really draws you in and finished as one of my all time favorite animes
this anime sucks!!! -_-
realy nice anime couldnt stop watching it
realy a great anime. also hope a 2nd season will come with the same characters. gave this a 5/5
Overall, a great series. The storyline itself is just splendid. Throughout the whole series, the anime takes a look at controversial subjects of contemporary/modern history and gives an unbiased view using the characters/setting of the anime. One of the best animes I have ever watched and fully enjoyed besides TTGL/NGE.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT,
ANYONE WHO DIDN’T WATCH THIS,
WATCH IT NOW.
An excellent series, though the ending was very odd.
A great series very gripping all around, and im very happy that it ended the way it did (meaning a non-sad ending). 5/5 worth the watch and i didnt really think it lacked in any area
This is one of my favorite animes, I highly recommend it. :3
This anime has always been one of my favorites. I wish they would continue the series.
umm im sorry i guess im a idiot since u guys all understand the ending but i dont can someone explain it 2 me? cause idk if they r alive or not
well they are alive yes but because of eureka transformation they both are living alone and hide of eyes of people
ok ty 4 ur help
i also didnt understand and this anime was awesome
Very good anime, the ending leaves me a bit unsatisfied tho. I wish there are more…anyone know if they’r making more?
Excellent i todally liked this anime i have to say the begining seemed rather dull and i couldent tell where the story was going but once the show started to increase in pace it was quite outstanding id recommend this to anyone who has the time to watch it 5/5
All in all it’s a great anime. Full spin in the story with each piece having multiple connections. The graphics are superb and the plot-line is original , not to mention a touch of romance gives it more depth that just ” It because we’re friends! ” Finally, there’s a nice closing to the story, and a wish for it to continue that any good series leaves. My compliments to the series; thanks to the producers, and translators; and gratitude to Lord Goth for posting it.
