Plot Summary: In the future, personal computers have developped into “Persocons”, mobile computers that look like human beings. Hideki Motosuwa, a prep school student, desperately wants to buy a Persocon but cannot afford to. One day he finds a Persocon that has been thrown away and decides to keep it. When he turns on the Persocon, all she can say is “Chii” so he decides to name her that. After a while it starts to become apparent that Chii is more than an average Persocon. Having much better performance, it seems that Chii might be a “Chobit”, a type of advanced Persocon rumoured to have independent thought.

For those who haven’t seen this series, watch it! It’s got a few funny episodes here and there (which made me fall off my chair..) and an amazing storyline, if quite dark in some parts.

5/5 very positive man to machine type of love story, this is a really funny series to watch and I’m sure that many people find it really cute or romantic in many aspects!!.
have to say this is an exelent anime +i think tht the detail on the opening scene is amazing havnt seen fluidity like it since the

This show did have some funny parts, but in the end it was not that great. I watched it all the way through. I will admit the first 5 episodes were really good, but in the end it made no sense at all. I really do not under stand what happened. I do not know how a robot could fall in love, and make all the robots everywhere happy. I also do not like how Chi learned to talk so fast. In the beginning all she could say was “Chi” then she started to learn a few words, but over one episode she could speak perfectly. That really bugged me. In the end I would not recommend this to my friends, unless they were really simply amused.
THIS anime WAS great only thing that i think it needed was more about what happned to chii and hideki afterwords. Personally i also REALLY liked the opening theme song to it matched the anime well and sounded great i believe the song was (let me be with you) Nice choice for this anime anyway definantley 5/5 and to nick6385 in response to your comment yes some things in chobits can be difficult to understand but personally i understood everything (of course my comprehention level was at collage lvl in 7th grade though…) I suggest if you ever have the time Rewatch the seriese and pay close attention to the words and everything about Persocons and Chobits then it should make more sense and about the way chii learned so fast was because of her learning software in otherwords in the anime Persocons can learn INSANELEY quick. PS (im not mutch on grammar aslong as people can understand what im writeing)

before I start, chances are I will never return to this page again and I gave a random email address cos I don’t really wanna be told when you reply tbh. First wow I didn’t realize that it was actually possible for one person to think so highly of them selves, Keen eye. Your comprehension level may have truly been at collage lvl in the 7th grade, which is impressive, however the fact that you mentioned that on here just to give your self some credit is REALLY sad. My comprehension levels are nothing to brag about however I also understood everything perfectly well, and that makes the point so much better. Secondly Nick6385 its a fun cartoon, give it some slack… Chii is able to fall in love because its supposed to be an advanced almost perfect humanoid. Of course that also explains the second point, she learned so quick because she is an advanced humanoid. There for a computer. Considering its fiction, that then means that the learning software can work as fast as the author would like it to. Being that this is a super humanoid, the decision was clearly made that the software would be uncomprehendably fast. As I said deflate your head a little Keen Eye, and cut it some slack Nick6385.

Nah just kidding I wouldn’t abuse them like that lol but I think it would be badass to have atleast Sumomo or Yuzuki OR know how to make persocoms or a chobits like Chi to be able to make persocoms and chobits like Chi would be so badass in my opinion.
i would so love a persocon like Yuzuki or a chobits like chii it would be awesome you wouldnt feel so alone you’d always have someone to talk to even if they cant speak so well…chii is just sooooo kawaii! it be like having a best friend all the time…i’d definitely fall for one
