Majestic Prince in Development


Reportedly an anime adaptation of the ongoing mecha manga Majestic Prince is now in development. The 2011 manga series about a young boy that enrolls in mecha-piloting school is written by Getbackers illustrator Rando Ayamine and drawn by Hikaru Niijima. The manga’s first collected volume is scheduled for Japanese publication next month.

Nekomonogatari Confirmed?

An advertising flyer contained in new copies of author NisiOisin’s latest novel Tsukimonogatari reports that the Nekomonogatari (Black) anime will get a special public premiere screening this winter “before the TV broadcast,” clearly suggesting that an anime adaptation of the Nekomonogatari (Black) novel is in development. The “Cat-Story (Black)” novel revolves around Bakemonogatari supporting character Tsubasa Hanekawa.

Brothers Conflict Announced

ASCII Media Works has formally announced the development of an anime TV series based on the multimedia franchise Brothers Conflict. The franchise – about a teen girl who gains and begins living with eleven brothers ranging in age from 11 to 32 when her father remarries – consists of an illustrated serial novel that premiered in 2010, a 2012 two-part PSP adventure game, and numerous drama and character CDs.

Aiura Anime in Development

4-Koma Nano Ace magazine reports that an anime based on Chama’s four-panel web manga series Aiura is now in development. The ongoing 2011 slice-of-life comedy manga revolves around three energetic slacker schoolgirls.

Maken-Ki Season 2 Announced

The October issue of Dragon Age magazine that goes on sale in Japan this week will formally announce the development of a second anime adaptation of Hiromitsu Takeda’s romantic comedy/action manga Maken-ki. The manga was adapted into a 12-episode television series last year. Takeda will personally supervise the production of the new anime.
