Canvas 2 is definitely one of the best romance animes out there. This is one of the most brilliantly emotional stories I have ever seen.

Animation :
The animation can be described by no other words than incredible or amazing. When thinking of the name of the anime, the vibrant and beautiful colors used in every picture is perfectly matched; it is like watching an animated painting on a canvas. The use of colors is integrated very well and leaves lasting impressions. Tomoko’s red eyes especially caught my attention.

Characters :
The Characters were all beautifully drawn and all had individual redeeming that made them all more lovable. Most of the s in the anime anyway; the guys all seemed plain boring and could have been more interesting (well there were only like 3 anyway).

Plot :
I have probably never seen a more touchingly emotional story than this, or a story that had something to do with its title. Everything that leads up to the final episode is just great. All the tension built, the unfolding drama, and of course the semi-happy ending. The story was great on most accounts besides the fact that I could understand why that happened to Tomoko in the end.

Music :
It fits the anime. I liked the opening, and the ending was ok, but it didn’t excite me too much. Other than that, there really isn’t any memorable music in this anime, but nothing really bothered me.

Overall :
I just really liked the story and quality this anime had to offer. If you are looking for some good romance, Canvas2 is a must. It can get boring and irrelevant to the story’s plot at times, but watch it all the way through if you start it, trust me you wont regret it. The memorable story will stay with you forever
