II-For play video:
If you can’t play a video, use the ‘K-Lite Mega Codec Pack’ :

III-For video convert:
Almost every video sharing site uses flv format to share. It’s smaller but has lower quality. If you want better quality, you can convert flv format to some another format (like avi). Of course not equal to the original video but better than flv :
